Mudgee District Environment Group (MDEG) and Rylstone District Environment Society (RDES) are inviting you to a free, community picnic on Saturday, October 21, to celebrate the great Australian outdoors. The picnic will be held at the peaceful Putta Bucca Wetlands, 10.30am-1.30pm. BYO everything. All welcome!
“Taking time out to sit in the outdoors, share food, and appreciate the natural beauty of our surroundings is something we don’t do often enough”, said Rosemary Hadaway, Chair of MDEG.
Julie Hunter from RDES suggested “It’s time to re-connect with each other and with our environment. You’ll have the opportunity to engage with your local environmental groups and learn about what they do to protect nature.”
Come along and have a yarn; go for a walk, be surrounded by the sounds of Nature, enjoy the beauty of the Wetlands, the whisper of the breeze through the casuarinas, and the unique calls of the many woodland and water birds. There will be displays, information and free activities.
Bring your picnic, family and friends, connect with our local community and celebrate the natural beauty and biodiversity of our local area.
Proudly supported by MDEG and RDES.
