We are not alone! Mudgee District Environment Group (MDEG)  is not the only voice seeking to protect and conserve our environment. We work with, and support, a variety of organisations which share similar aims and goals.

For example, we are a member of the Nature Conservation Council (NCC)  which represents more than 160 community organisations with a combined membership of over 60,000 individuals.  NCC is the leading advocate for Nature in New South Wales and is a force for positive change.  Together we are committed to protecting and restoring the unique natural environment of our state.

Our regional umbrella group is Central West Environment Council (CWEC) which represents conservation groups and individuals working to protect the local environment for future generations.

We also work with the National Parks Association of New South Wales, Rylstone District Environment Society, Rivers SOS, Bylong Valley Protection Alliance, Running Stream Water Users Association, and Our Land, Our Water, Our Future.

We also liaise with the Inland Rivers Network. This is a coalition of environment groups and individuals that has been advocating for healthy rivers, wetlands and groundwater in the Murray-Darling Basin since 1991.

Some of our members are travelling to Dubbo tomorrow for a rally to show that people in regional NSW care about the health of our rivers, wetlands, native fish and water birds.

That is considerable networking and co-operation! Why not join us?
